The Chair

An overview of the research chair

The CoDE Chair — Competition and Digital Economics — is hosted by Université Paris Panthéon-Assas and the Fondation Assas.

The digital transition calls for a rethinking of the EU internal market. The shift towards a digital single market requires finding the right balance between regulating companies and protecting innovation. The proliferation of EU instruments framing digital activities (DMA, DSA, Data Act, DGA, AI Act, GDPR, etc.) raises a twofold problem of regulatory coordination and overlapping regulators. The Chair is therefore intended to provide a forum for debate and research among academics, industry players and institutions to ensure effective and efficient regulation of the digital economy in Europe.
